Ellie's Elephants

This quilt was made for my niece and the colors were chosen to celebrate her Moroccan heritage.  I made the ears 3-D by stuffing them before attaching to the quilt.  I drafter the layout after I saw something similar on Pintrest.

Completed Minecraft Quilt

Here is the Finished Minecraft Quilt that I put in the mail today.  It ended up at 56 x 76.
I'm so very happy with the way it turned out.

I would love to see any quilts that people make using this layout.  Leave me a message and I can send you a PDF which also has several other characters to pick from.

Minecraft Quilt

This is a Minecraft Quilt Layout that I pulled together after looking at various different sites for the characters and elements.  Each of the 12 Squares would be put together using 64 - 2.5" squares to create each individual character.  The blocks should finish at 16.5".  The first black border would be cut at 2.5" and finish at 2" and the final green border would be cut at 4.5" and finish at 4".  Overall the quilt will roughly measure 60" x 78".  I've included a name for each block for reference, but you could add those in.

I would love to see any quilts that people make using this layout.

Sunshine quilt for my baby Sister ~ Katie

I've had this quilt top done for at least two years.  Without realizing it at the time, the yellow and blue colors are favorites of my baby sister.  I wanted the back to tie into the front and not just be a single color so I used some of the half square triangles left over from the front as well as remnants of the solid blue and yellow fabrics to create the back.

This year I opted to have the quilt professionally quilted with a swirl and butterfly pattern in a variegated thread and surprise her with the quilt as a Birthday Gift.

50th B-day gift for my dear friend

This quilt was a long time in the making.  By far the hardest pattern I've worked with.  It began as a 9-patch which was the simple part.  It was all the cutting apart and sewing back together in a specific order that made it challenging.  I'm happy to say that I was able to give this as a gift to my dear friend for her 50th Birthday in December 2014.

Wishes - Quilt Along

Well I've never participated in a Quilt Along, so I figured it was time to give it a try.  "Wishes" Quilt Along was offered by "Fat Quarter Shop" in 2014.  Now that all the fabric requirements and patterns have been posted I'll be able to get though it at my own speed.  First I have to decide on a color scheme.
