Quilt Top Finished!!

Well is was a very long and stressful weekend.  My beagle, Sam, ate snail bait which is potentially fatal to pets.  The warning is so small that we never saw it.  I took him to the Vet ER just after midnight on Friday.  Several procedures later, an IV and an overnight stay I'm happy to report that I brought Sam home late Saturday night and he's expected to fully recover.

Sunday was my day to relax and catch my breath.  I was able to sit down and finish putting the borders on my daughter's quilt.  She decided to have me go ahead and use the bright blue as I had planned.  So I was able to finish the top of the quilt fairly quickly.  The next step is to take her to the fabric store so she can pick out some soft, cuddly fabric in the color of her choice for the back.

So what do you think?

I also pulled together a receiving blanket for the young woman at my salon who does my pedicures.  She's due to have a baby girl in about two weeks and she's still at the shop!

All rolled up ready to deliver

This week and weekend I'll be working on a Forest Friends themed quilt and coordinating receiving blankets for my niece, Jamie, who is having a baby boy.  Her baby shower however is on April 26th so I've got to pull them together quickly and get them in the mail to Colorado.
